R2AD is helping to evolve the future of computer science toward massive distributed computing. Cloud computing is a natural
continuation of the computer industry, maturing from Mainframes, APRANET, the Internet, SOA, Grid, Cloud, towards distributed interoperable clouds.
R2AD is helping DoD, other Agencies, and commercial entities reach the goal of interactive clouds in order to:
We have recently developed and open-sourced a standards based Android cloud client that uses evolving cloud standards.
We update it periodically as a part of our interactions and support to the DISA Office of the CTO for Cloud Standards development and monitoring.
Acquire, store and manage large volumes of generated, distributed, complex data and information in real-time (i.e.: Map/Reduce)
Easily manipulate that information and combine it with data from other sources to perform highly
complex simulations and modeling (data schemas, ontology, semantics)
Conceptualize, interpret and visualize the results of such complex modeling and simulations in ways to
increase knowledge discovery and precision decision making speed (HCI)
We have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) using their elastic computing solutions and their platform services. Brings us on board your team to accelerate your application migration to the Cloud!
Solving this computational challenge is an enormous task for which R2AD is committed to being
involved at many levels, to include standards bodies such as the GGF,
OASIS, DMTF, NIST, and others.
For example, R2AD is currently working with NIST and the Open Cloud Computing Interface Working Group OCCI and the OASIS Cloud Application Management for Platforms CAMP technical committee.
The standards process is important and extremely vital for the cloud vision and R2AD is committed to these goals:
R2AD publishes White Papers based on on-going research and participates in cloud events locally and nationally.
- Being a Cloud Technology liaison between the commercial and government worlds: Advocate
- Supporting the Global Grid Forum (GGF), OASIS, other SDOs, and the various of Open Source initiatives: Involvement
- Designing tools and environments for grid computing in cooperation of many organizations: Implementation of Standards
- Helping to ensure that the standards process can work to achieve cloud interoperability: Vision
